This tiny neighborhood feels like walking straight into someone’s imagination. Every square inch of the structures, from the roofs to the pathways, is covered in playful, energetic illustrations of people, animals, and bright patterns.
What started as a solo rescue mission by a dedicated resident with a paintbrush 🎨 is now a labyrinth of vivid, folk-art murals, and an amazing reminder of how pieces of history can beautifully survive right in the shadow of a growing city…

The visual transition here is wild. One minute you are standing before the iconic Ruins of St. Paul’s, looking out from the rugged parapets of the Monte Fort, or wandering the centuries-old, peaceful courtyards of the A-Ma Temple, and the next minute you’re staring at a scale replica of Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower!!! 🗼😻
My favorite detail? The bizarre harmony of it all. You can spend your afternoon getting lost in the pastel, traditional alleys of Taipa Village, only to step right into the mind-blowing luxury of mega-resorts like the Venetian or the Londoner. Going from quiet, authentic heritage to floating on an indoor gondola beneath an artificial sky is a total trip.

Just when you think you’ve seen all of Hong Kong, a quick trip over to the other side of the island reveals an old, sleepy village right on the water.
Hidden away on Lantau Island, Tai O is a historic fishing village built entirely on stilts. No rushing crowds, no subways, just narrow alleyways, local street markets, and boats drifting lazily past old wooden homes.
It’s raw, it’s quiet, and it proves that Hong Kong’s charm runs so much deeper than its famous skyline. 🐟✨

A city that has this effortless way of switching vibes instantly. It’s the contrast of stepping into an old heritage shop that feels like a time capsule, and then walking beneath dizzying skyscrapers that completely block out the sky! 🏙️
Around every corner there’s something new, whether it’s layers of vibrant street graffiti or a quiet local temple where time completely stops among the coils of burning incense.
Visiting Victoria Peak is an absolute must while in HK, and an unexpected turn in the weather is no reason to skip the trip to the top. Even if a dizzying rain and thick fog sweep over the ridge, it only transforms the giant city views below into a soft and moody backdrop.
And the real grand finale? Of course, standing in the courtyard of the legendary “Monster Building” in Quarry Bay. Being right at the base of that massive, towering complex of apartments is the ultimate way to experience the true scale of the city!!! 😱

My favorite part? Watching the city completely transform at night. When the Hongqiao Bridge and the riverbanks light up, the energy is unmatched. It goes from a peaceful riverside town to a breathtaking wonderland in minutes. A total midnight enigma…

If you’re looking for a place where history meets pure magic, this is it, Fenghuang Ancient Town! ✨✨
Fenghuang translates directly to Phoenix, and legend says two of these mythical birds flew over the town and found it so beautiful they never left!!!
Seeing the sun hit the weathered wood of the old stilt houses and the green river water is surreal. Honestly, if I were a mythical phoenix, I’d probably never leave this place either! 🤩✨🐦‍🔥
